Callan Fang combined to allow just one run as Harvard University baseball beat Brown University, 4-1, in the series finale of a three-game set on Tuesday afternoon at Attanasio Family Field at Murray Stadium.
The Crimson (14-21, 10-5 Ivy) did not allow a run after the first inning, scoring once in the second, once in the fourth, and twice in the ninth to take a 2-1 series victory over the Bears (8-23, 5-10 Ivy) after the two teams split a doubleheader on Saturday.
Harvard has now won four of its five Ivy League series on the season. The Crimson currently stands tied for third in the Ivy League standings, sitting just one game back of first place.
Matson tossed 5.0 innings in the win in the start, allowing just one run before Stovern and Fang each threw 2.0 scoreless innings with Fang claiming his third save of the year. For the Crimson offense, senior

Tuesday's contest completed the three-game series between the two teams after the series finale was rescheduled from April 23 due to weather.

- Sophomore right-hander Sean Matson threw 5.0 innings in the win in the start, permitting just one earned run on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
- First-year right-hander Callan Fang earned the save, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings, permitting one hit and two walks with two strikeouts. He captured the save in both of the Crimson's wins in the series. Fang now has three saves on the year – all in Ivy play.
- Senior left-hander Harrison Stovern hurled 2.0 innings of scoreless relief, giving up two hits and one walk with one strikeout.
- Senior Hunter Baldwin finished 2-for-4 with a triple, run, and RBI.
- First-year Gio Colasante went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Junior Ben Rounds posted a double, an RBI, a run, and two walks.
- Junior Jake Berger tallied a double and a run scored.
- Senior Logan Bravo contributed a hit, an RBI, and a walk.
- Sophomore George Cooper added a hit, a run, and a walk.
- Harvard tallied 10 hits in the game, marking the 15th time this season that the Crimson has registered double-figure hits.
How It Happened
- Brown opened the scoring with a run on a single in the bottom of the first.
- The Crimson knotted the game at 1-1 in the top of the second as Baldwin sent a single through the left side to score Cooper.
- Harvard took its first lead of the game at 2-1 in the top of the fourth behind an RBI single from Colasante, bringing home Berger, who led off the inning with a triple.
- Stovern came out of the bullpen to toss scoreless frames in the sixth and seventh.
- In the top of the ninth, Harvard plated a pair of runs to move ahead, 4-1. After Baldwin led off the inning with a triple, Rounds brought him home with a double to left center field. Bravo capped the inning's scoring with an RBI single to score Rounds.
- Fang earned the two-inning save after hurling scoreless frames in the eighth and ninth.
