Philadelphia, Pa. - Harvard throwers
Alexander Kolesnikoff and
Sarah Omoregie put up strong nationally-ranked marks in the shot put at the Penn Relays meet on Saturday, April 29.
Omoregie got the day started for the Crimson, coming in second place with a throw of 17.34 meters (56' 10.75"). The only thrower to finish ahead of her is currently the national leader in the event. Omoregie's throw is not her personal best, but would rank in the top 15 in the nation at this point in the season.
Kolesnikoff followed in the men's championship shot put, throwing 19.85 meters (65' 1.5") to take fourth place in the event. Similar to Omoregie, his throw is not his best but would still rank in the nation-wide top 15.
