CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Radcliffe lightweight rowing competed for the Class of 1999 Cup vs Princeton on Saturday. The Black and white competed in three events on a foggy morning on the Charles River. Radcliffe came away with a victory in the 4+ after an aggressive start to the race. The Crimson was able to get an early lead and pull away with the victory.
Radcliffe battled the reigning national champions in the Varsity 8 and Varsity Double but was unable to come away with a victory in each event. In the Varsity Double race, the Crimson got out to an early lead but was narrowly outpaced by the Tigers after only finishing four seconds behind the reigning champions.
Next Up
Radcliffe will compete for the Beanpot and Muri Cups vs Boston University and MIT on April 8. The Crimson will battle for the Beanpot against BU and MIT while the Muri Cup will be decided between Radcliffe and MIT. The races will be streamed on ESPN+.
