PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 67 Harvard women's tennis (10-8, 2-1 Ivy) narrowly fell 4-2 to No. 69 Brown (15-6, 3-0 Ivy) on Sunday, April 9.
 
Beginning the match in doubles, Harvard got off to a fast start. Sophia Ho and Maxi Duncan defeated Brown's Vivian Miller and Nora Lee 6-2 in the two position. Harvard's duo of Angel You and Charlotte Owensby continued their hot streak, defeating Brown's Lindsey Hofflander and Phoebe Peus 6-3, securing the doubles point for the Crimson. As a duo, You and Owensby have not lost a doubles match in nine straight matches.
 
Heading into singles, Maxi Duncan continued to impress, defeating Brown's Vivian Miller 7-5, 6-0. Duncan is now 11-3 on the season in singles which leads the team. She has also not lost a match since facing off against No. 4 Duke on Feb. 4.
 
Brown would win four of the six singles matches, giving the Bear's the win 4-2. Sophia Ho would narrowly fall in a tightly contested contest against Brown's Britany Lau 6-7, 6-2, 3-6 in the three position. In the six position, Iveta Daujotaite would split sets against Brown's Addison Ahlstrom, but their match would not finish.
