WORCESTER, Mass. - Radcliffe lightweight rowing came away with a fourth-place finish at Eastern Sprints on Sunday after a day of racing on Lake Quinsigamond. The Black and White came away with a second-place finish in the lightweight double and finished fifth in the lightweight four. 

How It Happened

• Radcliffe raced in three events at Eastern Sprints on Sunday, one double, one fours, and one eights event. 
• The double was the first crew to race in the regatta for the Black and White. Sophie Campbell and Sisira Holbrook teamed up to power the boat to a finishing time of 7:31.920, which was good for second place in the field. Radcliffe earned a 15-second win over its Charles River rival, Boston University, and was narrowly outpaced by the Princeton crew who took the win after a time of 7:26.330. 
• The Black and White placed fifth in the lightweight fours event, racing to a final time of 7:37.940. 
• In the varsity eight race, Radcliffe earned a five-second win over Wisconsin, placing fourth in the overall event with a time of 6:40.710. 

Up Next 

Radcliffe will have over a month off to train and prepare for the IRA National Championships in June. The Black and White's final regatta of the season is set to take place June 2-4 in West Windsor, N.J. on Mercer Lake.
