DEDHAM, Mass. - Harvard track and field athletes fit in another weekend of competition to attempt to qualify or better their marks before the NCAA East Regional Qualifier meet that will take place on the final weekend in May. Athletes competed Saturday at the New England Championships, the IC4A/ECAC Championships and the Yale Last Chance Meet.
New England Championships Highlights
• Harvard swept the podium in the women's discus throw, as
Estel Valeanu won gold with a 54.70m throw, followed by
Michaela Denson with a 49.06m throw and
Cara Salsberry with a 48.43m toss.

Cammy Garabian took third in the hammer throw with a 58.85 meter toss.Â

Gregory Lapit and
Jonathan Gamarra ran 47.45 and 47.94 in the 400m dash on Friday to qualify for the final on Saturday. Lapit finishsed third in the final on Saturday after improving his time to 47.34.
IC4A/ECAC Championships Highlights
•
Josefina Biernacki earned an automatic qualifying spot in tomorrow's final in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.41.
•
Victoria Bossong won the women's 800m run in 2:07.09.Â
Last Chance Meet Highlights
•
Noah Ward took second in the 1500m run with a time of 3:43.46 to set his new personal best.Â
• The Crimson women's team went 2-3-4 in the 5000m run, led by
Maia Ramsden in 16:09.43,
Maya Rayle in 16:09.52 and
Ella Gilson in 16:23.88.
