Hasbo and Team Denmark Move Into Knockout Round at 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup

SYDNEY, Australia - After a successful run in the group stage, Josefine Hasbo and the Danish women's national team will now move on to knockout play, starting off with the host team Australia on Monday morning. Denmark and Australia are set to square off in the round of 16 match that will take place in Sydney at Stadium Australia at 6:30 AM (EST). The match will stream live on Fox Sports 1 and on the FIFA+ app. 

Hasbo has played in all three game during Team Denmark's world cup journey, earning two starts. Her first came against China PR in the opening match of the tournament for the Danish. Hasbo played all 90 minutes in the match, helping the team break through to score a goal in the 89' minute and secure the 1-0 victory. She also made the starting 11 in the second match against England and played 70 minutes in a narrow 1-0 loss. In the final group stage match against Haiti, Hasbo subbed in for the final 30 minutes of the match, helping Denmark score its second goal of the match to put away the Haitian squad in stoppage time. 

Over the course of the three contests, Hasbo played 171 minutes, fired off three shots, completed 73-percent of her passes and logged 14 tackles and interceptions ont he defensive end. 

The winner of the contest will move on to face the winner of France and Morocco in the round of eight on Saturday, August 12.
