CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women's volleyball team (7-2) will head to Hanover, N.H. to face Dartmouth (3-5) in the first Ivy League match of the season. The match will stream on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.
The first conference contest will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 in Leede arena. After a great start to the 2023 campaign, Harvard will hope to continue their season with wins in conference.
What to Know
• Harvard has started the 2023 season 7-2 after winning 3 games at the Harvard Invite, 2 games at the CSU Invite and 2 games at the BC-Harvard cohost this past weekend over Merrimack and Providence. The Crimson's two losses are to Akron and Boston College.
• Seniors
Ashley Wang and
Katie Vorhies were named to the BC-Harvard Invite All-Tournament team for their excellent performances over the weekend. Notably, Wang had a career-high 20 kills and became the only player in the NCAA to have four triple-doubles after the 3-2 win over Providence.
• The 2023 Harvard Volleyball team is ranked fifth in the Ivy League preseason poll.
• In 2022, the Crimson fell to Dartmouth twice, by scores of 3-1 and 3-0. Harvard finished the 2022 campaign 4-10 in conference play.
• Harvard leads the all-time series over the Big Green 54-26. Before the two losses in 2022, the Crimson won both 2021 matches.
