CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's soccer will play its first Ivy League matchup of the 2023 season vs. Brown this Saturday (Sept. 23) under the lights at Jordan Field. The Crimson (5-2-1, 0-0-0 in Ivy) will host its Ivy League rival looking to hand the Bears its first Ivy League loss since 2018.
WHAT TO KNOW
- The Crimson is coming off a 1-1-0 stint last week after a 5-0 win against Samford (Sept. 14), and a 3-4 loss vs. St. Johns (Sept. 17) on the road.
- Harvard's 5-0 win vs. Samford tied its single game season high in goals scored (five goals vs. Syracuse).
- Harvard is 4-0-0 at Jordan field this season.
- In four home matches thus far, Harvard has outscored its opponents 14-3.
- The Crimson have outscored opponents 23-11 in its eight games in 2023. It has outscored opponents 73-25 since the beginning of the 2022 season.
- HWS has outpaced its opponents on offense, totaling 135 shots on goal and allowing only 49 shots on goal from opposing teams.
- Harvard ranked no. 7 in the national rankings in assists per game as a team, averaging 3.00 per game.

- Brown (4-1-2) is coming off a 1-0 victory against URI. The Bears are 1-1 in its two away games this season.
- Brown ranks top-30 in the nation in shots on goal per game, averaging 8.57. It also shares the ball well on offense, ranking 33rd in assists per game nationwide.
- The Bears come into the contest riding a 22-match unbeaten streak in league play.
