CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior
Alessandro Arlotti scored his first goal of the season in the fifth minute as Harvard University men's soccer earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Cornell University in its ivy League opener on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field.
The Crimson (1-2-4, 0-0-1 Ivy) opened the scoring inside of the first five minutes before the Big Red (3-2-1, 0-0-1 Ivy) – a side that was coming off a victory over No. 7 Syracuse – netted an equalizer in the 11
th minute.

th career assist.

How It Happened
- The Crimson opened the scoring in the fifth minute as Arlotti used his head to redirect a cross from Ebbinge off the post and into the back of the net.
- Cornell drew level at 1-1 in the 11th minute behind a goal from Matthew Goncalves.
- Each side moved forward in the second half, totaling 16 shots and 11 corner kicks between the two teams.
- Wood made a trio of saves in the second half to keep the contest on level terms.
- Balls from Ebbinge in the 59th minute and from senior Harry Moore in the 66th minute challenged the Cornell keeper before the two teams ended on equal terms.
