DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore goalkeeper
Lucian Wood made six saves, but Harvard University men's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 24 University of New Hampshire on Tuesday night at Wildcat Stadium.
The Crimson (1-3-4) held the Wildcats (5-1-2) without a goal over the final 80 minutes of the game, but the nationally ranked hosts took the decision following a tally in the ninth minute.
Harvard Highlights
- Sophomore goalkeeper Lucian Wood made six saves in the contest. He posted four or more saves in a game for the third time this season.
- Among the Crimson's field players, senior Nik White, junior Jan Riecke, and sophomore Ethan Veghte all played the full 90 minutes. Riecke has played all 720 minutes on the season.
- Senior Kaoru Fujiwara tallied two shots – both on goal.

How It Happened
- The Crimson opened the contest with a pair of chances inside the first four minutes as a shot from senior Willem Ebbinge required a diving save before a header from junior Alessandro Arlotti also tested the keeper.
- The Wildcats scored the game's opening goal in the ninth minute as Eli Goldman knocked a rebound into the net.
- Wood kept UNH off the board for the remainder of the half, making multiple saves.
- In the second half, Wood made another three saves to keep Harvard within one goal before UNH held on for the win.
