Men’s Basketball’s Mack Wins Ivy League Rookie of the Week for Fifth Time

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University men's basketball first-year guard Malik Mack has earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors for the fifth time this season, the Ivy League conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Mack tallied 18 points, seven rebounds, a game-high five assists, and four steals, while making 7-of-16 field goals in Harvard's game against Brown. He scored in double figures for the 11th time this year. In the second half against the Bears, he notched 13 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

As a team, the Crimson has captured the conference's rookie of the week award six times in 2023-24. Mack took the accolades in each of the first four weeks of the season before first-year forward Thomas Batties II claimed the honor on Jan. 2.

Next, Harvard plays at the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 6:00 p.m. (ESPNU/ESPN+) in a nationally televised contest.
