CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving senior
Marcus Holmquist will swim for the Swedish National Team at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar. The event is scheduled for Feb. 2-18, 2024.
The swimming portion of the Championships will commence on Sunday, Feb. 11 and run through Saturday, Feb. 17.
A native of Bankeryd, Sweden, Holmquist owns the Crimson's top 50-free time this season (19.76) and has contributed to the team's best performances in the 200 free relay (1:18.35), 800 free relay (6:22.43), 200 medley (1:26.60) and 400 medley relay (3:11.75).
Prior to the 2023-24 campaign, Holmquist competed for Sweden at the U23 European Swimming Championships in Dublin, Ireland, and FISU World University Games in Chengdu, China.
Harvard will return to action Feb. 2-3, when it travels to Princeton for the annual HYP meet. Friday will get underway at 6 p.m. ET, with Saturday set for a 1 p.m. ET start.
