CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Crimson picked up the season sweep on both Bucknell and Wagner as the offense led the team to a pair of victories on Sunday. Adding 19 goals in the morning, Harvard scored 21 in the late game as a big first half put the Crimson in a great position to win three of its four games at the Harvard Invite.
HARVARD 19, BUCKNELL 17
- Tied at four after the first quarter of play, Jack Burghardt opened the scoring in the second to give the Crimson a lead in the opening possession. Burghardt found some space on the man advantage and walked in to pick the corner.
- The Crimson went up 7-5 in the second quarter, but Bucknell netted two consecutive goals to tie the game at 7.
- In a back-and-forth game both the Bison and the Crimson traded goals in the second and third quarters before the Crimson began to pull away in the fourth quarter as it started to protect a three goal lead for a majority of the final quarter.
- James Rozolis-Hill led the way offensively with eight of the 19 Harvard goals.
- Dean Strauser had a great offensive game as well after netting four goals and adding four assists for an eight-point morning.
- Tanner Furtak made seven stops in the cage.
HARVARD 21, WAGNER 11
- The Crimson offense came to play in the late game and was as dominant as it has been at any point this season after netting eight goals in the first and another seven in the second quarter.
- Leading 8-1 after the first quarter, James Rozolis-Hill netted four goals while Jack Burghardt added three to combine with seven of the first eight Crimson goals.
- The Crimson led 15-4 at the half against the Seahawks.
- Owen Hale was great all game after adding four goals and a helper.
- First-year Tyler Hogan added a hat-trick for himself while picking up two assists.
- Tyler Zarcu had a four-assist game.
- Oliver Price and Tanner Furtak both played in the afternoon game with Price picking up the second and fourth quarters while Furtak picked up the first and third.
- Both netminders made eight saves each.
