CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football entered both major FCS polls today, coming in at No. 25 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) FCS Coaches Poll and No. 24 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll. This marks the Crimson's first appearance in the polls since it was ranked No. 19/23 (coaches/media) headed into its final game of 2023.
Â
Harvard, winners of five straight games, is 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Ivy League. The Crimson has won both of its matchups this year against nationally ranked opposition, taking down No. 16/21 New Hampshire at home and most recently, defeating No. 22/22 Dartmouth this past Saturday in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Â
In the aforementioned win over the Big Green, Harvard received three rushing touchdowns from quarterback
Charles DePrima, 311 yards passing from fellow signal caller
Jaden Craig, 124 receiving yards from
Cooper Barkate, and a career-high 16 tackles from safety
Ty Bartrum, who on Monday was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week. A true team-wide effort helped the Crimson rally from two 10-point deficits, including one in the fourth quarter, to win, 31-27, and hand Dartmouth its first loss of 2024.
Â
Harvard now returns home this Saturday to face a Columbia team it shares, along with Dartmouth, first place with in the conference standings. The Ivy showdown is slated for a noon ET start at Harvard Stadium. ESPN+ will air all the action live.
