CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's volleyball (4-4, 1-0 EIVA) continues a three-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory over the University of Charleston (7-4, 0-1 EIVA) this evening in the Malkin Athletic Center. 
 
Continuing on its eight-game home stand the Crimson began the night in a back-and-forth first set with the Golden Eagles.  Throughout the set, the Golden Knights were able to pull out to two-point leads on multiple occasions, but Harvard responded to each run.  Ultimately the Crimson were able to take the match after a massive kill by 
Zach Berty in a 25-21 victory.
 
Harvard looked to be building momentum in the second set as they jumped out to a 3-1 lead. However, the Golden Knights responded, able to overtake the Crimson. The Golden Knights pulled out two and three-point leads in this set as well, however, this time they were able to hold on and win the set 25-16.
  
Fighting back in the third set, Harvard went on a three-point run right off the bat. The Crimson continued to maintain a lead, getting to 8-3 with a service ace by 
Ethan Smith. Harvard was able to dominate in the third set, finishing with a hitting percentage of .478. After a strong round, Smith was also able to deliver the winning kill, leaving the third at 25-19.
 
 
Harvard was able to clinch the win in the fourth set, finishing it at 25-20. In this point-for-point set, 
Logan Shepherd stood out, grabbing three kills in the set alone. Harvard was able to hold the hitting percentage advantage in this set, finishing with a .320.
Zach Berty was able to close out the match with a kill, and the final two points were delivered by Golden Knights attack and service errors.
 
Harvard Highlights
	- Logan Shepherd led all Crimson players with nine kills on the night. He was also credited with two blocks.
- James Bardin had a strong night, being credited with six kills, 33 assists and a hitting percentage of .750.
- Owen Fanning led the team in digs with eight and grabbed nine points on the night.
- Ethan Smith was a leader all around grabbing 14 points, three service aces, three blocks and holding a hitting percentage of .533
- As a team the Crimson registered a .250 hitting percentage throughout the match to best the Warriors .238.
- Harvard registered seven service aces to the Golden Knights three with the help of Smith.

The Crimson will return to action tomorrow afternoon to face off against the University of Charleston once again.  First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. in the Malkin Athletic Center and on ESPN+.
