STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior
Elsie Halvorsen opened competition for Harvard University skiing at the 2024 NCAA Championships with a 25
th-place finish in the women's giant slalom on day one of the championships on Wednesday at Mount Werner.
Making her debut at the NCAA Championships, Halvorsen placed fifth among U.S. skiers and came in eighth among skiers representing the East region. She totaled a 1:59.07, finishing 26
th in run one with a 1:02.51 and then placing 25
th in run two with a 56.56. She collected six NCAA team points with her placement.
Harvard continues competition at the NCAA Championships with the men's 7.5k freestyle on Mar. 7 at noon ET, the women's slalom on Mar. 8 starting at 8:40 p.m. ET, and the men's 20k classic on Mar. 9 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Senior
Rémi Drolet will represent the Crimson in men's nordic competition.

- Senior Elsie Halvorsen placed 25th in the women's giant slalom in her NCAA debut, coming in fifth among U.S. skiers and eighth among skiers representing the East region. - Halvorsen posted her 12th top-30 finish of the year after registering 11 top-30 efforts during the 2024 EISA season.
