Watch: Skiing 2024-25 Season Recap

Harvard skiing put together a strong 2025 season as the Crimson welcomed new student-athletes and coaches into a strong nucleus of returners, cultivated a love for the sport behind a positive team culture, and qualified skiers for the NCAA Championships from both the alpine and nordic teams.

Behind the veteran leadership of senior team captain Matt Ryan and junior Luke Kearing, the men's alpine team posted several strong finishes over the course of the season with first-year Duncan Armstrong distinguishing himself as one of the breakout stars in the East. Armstrong punctuated his rookie campaign with an appearance at the NCAA Championships.

On the women's side of the alpine team, first-year Skylar Sheppard displayed tremendous promise in her rookie season, including clocking the fastest time in the first run of the women's slalom at the Dartmouth Carnival. Sophomore Emma Speiser and first-year Emma Lenoël-Quang supported her with several strong performances.

A young men's nordic team featured three first-years out of its four competitors with both Elias Soulé and Bennett Hutchison posting top-30 finishes over the course of the season.

On the women's side of the nordic squad, seniors Quincy Donley and Tali Wong as well as junior Hayden McJunkin provided the team with a veteran presence while sophomores Breagh Bridge and Clara Lake and first-year Hanna Wilsey gave the group quality depth. Donley capped off the Crimson's season with her debut at the NCAA Championships.

Harvard's season culminated at the NCAA Championships with senior Quincy Donley and first-year Duncan Armstrong both representing the Crimson at the event. Armstrong – one of the youngest competitors in the field – highlighted the weekend with a 17th-place finish in the men's giant slalom while Donley closed out an outstanding career with a 29th-place finish in the women's 20k freestyle.

At the conclusion of the season, the Crimson bid farewell to three outstanding seniors – Tali Wong, Quincy Donley, and Matt Ryan – who demonstrated exemplary qualities in character, leadership, academic commitment, and athletic success.

Under the direction of eighth-year head coach Scott MacPherson on the alpine side and first-year head coach Cate Brams on the nordic side, the Crimson embodied perseverance and togetherness throughout the 2025 season as the program looks to continue its upward trajectory into 2026.
