CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing collected a pair of national championship invitations, the ICSA announced Tuesday night. The Crimson earned an at-large berth in both the Women's Team Race National Championship and the Open Team Race National Championship.
The Harvard women's team was announced as one of six at-large teams in the 12-team field, earning a No. 8 seed. Joining the Crimson were No. 1 Yale, No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 Boston College, No. 4 Cornell, No. 5 Dartmouth, No. 6 College of Charleston, No. 7 Penn, No. 9 Brown, No. 10 MIT, No. 11 Tulane and No. 12 Wisconsin.
The Crimson's coed team, meanwhile, received a No. 2 seed for the open tournament and was one of 10 teams to receive an at-large berth. The rest of the field includes No. 1 Yale, No. 3 Stanford, No. 4 Brown, No. 5 Roger Williams, No. 6 Georgetown, No. 7 U.S. Coast Guard, No. 8 Dartmouth, No. 9 Navy, No. 10 MIT, No. 11 St. Mary's (Md.), No. 12 College of Charleston, No. 13 Boston College, No. 14 Tulane, No. 15 Tufts and No. 16 Wisconsin.
Both national championship events will take place on the Charles River and will be co-hosted by Harvard and MIT. The ICSA Open Team Race National Championship is slated for April 25-27, with ESPN+ airing the action on April 26-27. The ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship, meanwhile, is set for April 28-29, with both days on ESPN+.
Harvard and MIT will also play host to the ICSA Women's Fleet Race National Championship (May 20-23) and the ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship (May 24-27).
