CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweight Rowing returns to the Charles River for a packed slate of weekend races. The Black and White will host MIT and Boston University on Saturday (April 20) at 8:12 a.m. before closing out the weekend against the Bates College Bobcats and Trinity College Bantams on Sunday (April 21) at 8:45 a.m.Both races will stream on ESPN+.

WHAT TO KNOW

The Black and White are coming off a successful showing at the Knecht Cup in Cherry Hill, N.J. on April 14. Although the first day of races was canceled for unsafe weather conditions, the Varsity Eight and Lightweight Four both claimed first-place finishes on Sunday. 

This Saturday, Harvard-Radcliffe will face off against MIT and BU in the seventh-consecutive Beanpot. The competition was first held in 2016, and the Radcliffe will be looking for its first victory over its Boston-based rivals. 

The Black and White will continue its home stand on the Charles on Sunday against Bates and Trinity. Last season, Harvard-Radcliffe's 1V and 4V boats picked up first-place victories over the Bobcats on April 22, 2023.
