CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Former Harvard Football alums Spencer Rolland '22 and Daniel Abraham '22 have agreed to deals with NFL teams that will have them in camp as the calendar draws closer to the 2024 regular season.
A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, Rolland has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings. The offensive lineman arrived in Cambridge for the 2018 campaign and finished his career as a 2021 All-Ivy League First-Team selection. Rolland, who blocked for the second-highest scoring offense in the Ivy in 2021, was also stellar in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-America honors before transferring to North Carolina as a graduate transfer.
Abraham, meanwhile, is a classmate of Rolland's and a fellow 2022 Harvard grad. The Randolph native will be in minicamp with the Seattle Seahawks after finishing his college career at Villanova. Before joining the Wildcats, Abraham saw action in every season with the Crimson (2018-21), except for 2020 due to the global pandemic. In his final campaign at Harvard in 2021, the linebacker played in all 10 games and totaled 24 stops, two interceptions and three pass breakups.
Rolland and Abraham continue Harvard's long tradition of having a presence in the NFL. Just this past season, the Crimson had two players compete in Super Bowl LVIII in Kyle Juszczyk '13 (San Francisco 49ers) and Truman Jones '23, with Jones emerging victorious with the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition to Juszczyk, who was named to his eighth straight Pro Bowl in 2023, and Jones, both of whom won division titles, Tyler Ott '14 helped the Baltimore Ravens win the AFC North last year, with Anthony Firkser '17 and Chris Smith '22 guiding the NFC North champion Detroit Lions to the NFC Championship Game.
