Jordan Kang tallied a career-high four hits, and Harvard University baseball beat the University of Massachusetts, 10-3, on Tuesday afternoon in the third-place game of The Baseball Beanpot.

Playing a neutral-site contest at Boston College's Eddie Pellagrini Diamond at the Harrington Athletics Village, the Crimson (6-19) took a 4-0 lead in the fourth and led the rest of the way en route to the victory over the Minutemen (9-18).

On the mound, Dowling threw a career-high 6.0 innings in his first collegiate win, allowing two runs – both earned – on five hits and no walks with four strikeouts while first-year right-hander
Truman Pauley tossed 2.0 innings in relief, giving up no runs on no hits and one walk with a career-best five strikeouts. Senior left-hander
Uday Narottam struck out the side in the bottom of the ninth.

How It Happened
- The Crimson opened the game's scoring with four runs in the top of the fourth. Feller started the frame's scoring with a sacrifice fly to left field before Kang hit an RBI single through the left side. Levin capped the stanza's scoring with a ground ball that brought home two following an error.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Minuteman hit a two-run home run to right field to pull within 4-2.
- Harvard pushed its advantage back to four runs at 6-2 with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth. A ground ball from Messervy allowed the first run to score prior to an RBI single through the left side from Rickheim.
- Rounds drove a two-run double to center field to extend the Crimson's edge to 8-2 in the top of the eighth.
- The Crimson plated another two runs in the top of the ninth to move ahead 10-2. Messervy worked a bases loaded walk before Rickheim absorbed a hit by pitch with the bases loaded.
- UMass scored once in the bottom of the ninth for the game's final run.
