CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's volleyball once again received a pair of team academic awards for the 2023-24 as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association this week. The Crimson earned the AVCA Team Academic Award and landed on the Team Academic Honor Roll.
Harvard holds more than a decade long streak for either distinction, earning each accolade for the 16th consecutive season. To be eligible for the AVCA Team Academic Award, teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, the honor roll distinction highlights programs in the top 20% of GPAs for their division.
Fellow Ivy League foe, Penn joins the Crimson as the only two Ivy schools to land on the honor roll in 2024. As Harvard men's volleyball also received the distinction, Harvard is one of two Division I schools to have both men's and women's programs represented on the list.
