Men’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University Men's Basketball will host 12 regular season home games and play at Big 12 member Colorado and Big East member St. John's as a part of its schedule for the 2024-25 season, which begins on Nov. 4, Tommy Amaker, The Thomas G. Stemberg '71 Family Endowed Coach for Harvard Men's Basketball, announced on Thursday.
 
Highlights from the Crimson's non-conference schedule include the season and home opener against Marist on Nov. 4, trips to the cities of Annapolis (at Navy on Nov. 8), Washington, D.C. (at American on Nov. 10), Boulder (at Colorado on Nov. 17), and New York (at St. John's on Nov. 30), and New England rivalry games at Northeastern (Nov. 13), at Holy Cross (Dec. 4), and at New Hampshire (Dec. 8).
 
The Crimson will close the regular season with 14 straight Ivy League games from Jan. 11 to Mar. 8 with five of its final seven games coming at home over the span of Feb. 14 to Mar. 8.
 
Harvard opens its 2024-25 season with a home contest at Lavietes Pavilion on Monday, Nov. 4 against Marist with a 5:00 p.m. tip-off.
 
The Crimson then travels to the DMV area for a pair of contests. Harvard opens the trip with a matchup at Navy (Nov. 8) in the Veterans Classic – which includes a tour of the U.S. Naval Academy – before playing at American (Nov. 10) in the nation's capital.
 
Following a road contest at Northeastern (Nov. 13), Harvard makes its longest trip of the year when it plays at Colorado (Nov. 17) – a team that earned a berth in the 2024 NCAA tournament.
 
Returning to Lavietes Pavilion, Harvard hosts Colgate (Nov. 22) – a team that has appeared in the last four NCAA tournaments – and Massachusetts (Nov. 27) on the day before Thanksgiving.
 
Harvard then competes in three straight road contests beginning with a game at St. John's (Nov. 30) – the first meeting between the two teams since the 1987-88 season – prior to matchups at Holy Cross (Dec. 4) and at New Hampshire (Dec. 8).
 
Closing out its non-conference slate, the Crimson hosts Furman (Dec. 21), plays at Iona (Dec. 29) to conclude the calendar year, and opens the new year with a home game against Bowdoin (Jan. 5).
 
Ivy League play commences for the Crimson when it hosts Princeton (Jan. 11) prior to a matchup at Brown (Jan. 18) and a home contest against Penn (Jan. 20) on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
 
Harvard then plays in four straight road games to finish the first half of conference play with matchups at Yale (Jan. 25), at Columbia (Jan. 31), at Cornell (Feb. 1), and at Dartmouth (Feb. 8).
 
Over the second half of its league schedule, the Crimson plays five of its final seven games at home beginning with home matchups against Cornell (Feb. 14) and Columbia (Feb. 15). Following a road trip to Princeton (Feb. 21) and Penn (Feb. 22), Harvard ends its regular season with three straight home games against Brown (Feb. 28), Yale (Mar. 1), and Dartmouth (Mar. 8).
 
The 2025 Ivy League Men's Basketball Tournament is set to take place from March 15-16 at Brown's Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
