SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Sophomore
Dylan Tellado scored the game's opening goal and its final tally, but Harvard University men's soccer fell at No. 13 Seton Hall University, 3-2, on Saturday night at Owen T. Carroll Field.
Competing in the second match of a five-game road swing, the Crimson (0-1-2) held a 1-0 lead at halftime before the nationally ranked Pirates (6-0-0) scored three goals in the second half prior to a final marker from the visitors.

Harvard Highlights
- Sophomore Dylan Tellado tallied four points on two goals, marking his second career brace. Tellado scored his second and third goals of the season and the fifth andf sixth goals of his career. He has scored three of the Crimson's first four goals to open the season. Tellado leads the Crimson with six points on the season.
- Senior Marko Isakovic recorded his second assist of the season and the 11th assist of his career. He ranks second on the Crimson with four points on the year.
- First-year Xavier Tanyi posted his first collegiate point with his assist.
- Senior Kristján Gunnarsson notched his first assist of the year and the fourth assist of his career.
- Senior Jan Riecke registered his first assist of the season and third of his career.
- Junior goalkeeper Lucian Wood made three saves in his second start of the year.
- Among the Crimson's field players, seniors Ludovico Rollo, Jan Riecke, and Sam Bjarnason all played the full 90 minutes.
- First-year Tim Langenbahn and junior Bobby Cupps both made their collegiate debuts.
How It Happened
- Sophomore Dylan Tellado netted the game's opening goal in the 34th minute behind assists from senior Kristján Gunnarsson and first-year Xavier Tanyi. After Tanyi sent the ball over to Gunnarsson on the right side, Gunnarsson left the ball for Tellado at the top of the box. Tellado then drove a shot off the right post and into the back of the net.
- Junior goalkeeper Lucian Wood turned aside all three of the Pirates' shots on goal in the first half to keep the hosts off the scoreboard in the opening 45 minutes.
- Seton Hall evened the score at 1-1 in the 52nd minute as Jon Vignir Petursson converted a penalty kick.
- The Pirates took a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute as Til Kauschke sent a shot into the top left corner of the net from the top of the penalty area off an assist from Jack Kossoudji.
- Seton Hall moved its edge to 3-1 in the 79th minute as Kossoudji sent a shot into the goal following an assist from Konstantin Donalies.
- Harvard cut the margin to 3-2 in the 90th minute as Tellado scored following a corner kick from senior Marko Isakovic with Isakovic and senior Jan Riecke providing the assists. After Isakovic's corner, Riecke flicked the ball on to Tellado who headed the ball past the end line.
