CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Men's Hockey fell to No. 2 Boston College in a hard-fought battle at Conte Forum.
Ryan Healey scored the lone goal for the Crimson as it looks forward to two ECAC conference games this weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Harvard was called for three early penalties after
Mason Langenbrunner,
Michael Callow, and
Ian Moore were called in the first ten minutes of the period.
The Crimson went down 1-0 after Teddy Stiga scored on the second power-play attempt for the Eagles after a bouncing puck found his stick at the right circle who put it past Charette for the early lead.
Ryan Healey answered for the Crimson late in the period after converting on the man advantage. Picking the corner on Jacob Fowler, Healey added his first of the season to tie the game heading into the second period.
Will Vote added the second goal for the Eagles after a weird bounce behind the net led to a backdoor pass for the sophomore.
Ben Charette made the play of the game and maybe the save of the season in the second period on James Hagens after going post to post to rob the Eagles of a 3-1 lead.
Harvard came out firing in the third period and had multiple good looks to tie the game. The fourth-line had a great showing on Tuesday night and generated multiple scoring opportunities in the crease. Late in the game, Johnson nearly converted on a late power-play.
With the empty net,
Lucas St. Louis threw a puck on net that was deflected just wide. Play eventually went the other way where Boston College hit the empty net to take the game 3-1.
