Men's Hockey Forces Overtime Against No. 18 Quinnipiac

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Goals from Mason Langenbrunner and Justin Solovey erased a two-goal deficit as the Crimson fought back to earn an overtime point against No. 18 Quinnipiac.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Quinnipiac scored a minute into the first period after Travis Treloar was left alone at the top of the circle off the rush for an easy early goal. Quinnipiac doubled their lead 11 minutes later when a rebound got by Charette.

Looking for some offense to start the second period, Mason Langenbrunner took a pass from Michael Callow and found the back of the net for his third goal of the year. Assisted by Callow and Justin Solovey, the early goal for the Crimson gave them some momentum.

Justin Solovey scored his second goal of the season on a beautiful shot from the circle to tie the game. Assisted by Zakary Karpa and Matthew Morden, both of Solovey's goals this season have been against the Bobcats. Karpa picked up his first point of the season with the helper on Solovey's goal.

Both teams had multiple chances in the third but none better than a shot saved by Ben Charette on a 2-on-1. The first-year went post to post to deny the Bobcat opportunity.

The game went to overtime after each team put up 30 shots. Quinnipiac scored in the overtime period to secure a 3-2 win after a scrum in front of Charette.
