No. 6 Men’s Squash Prepares for CSA Individual National Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The No. 6 ranked Harvard men's squash team will take a brief pause from team play this week when it travels to New York City to compete in the College Squash Association Individual National Championships. The Crimson will send six representatives to compete in the tournaments, with three entries in the Pool Trophy Main Draw and another three participants in the Molloy Cup draws. David Costales, Denis Gilevskiy and Neel Joshi will be competing in the main draw and will compete for the Pool Trophy while Jacob Lin, Segev Rome and Conner Stoltz will be competing in three of the four Molly Cup Divisions.
 
A member of the Crimson has raised the Pool Trophy and been named the Individual National Champion 61 times in program history. Victor Crouin '22 was the last Harvard student-athlete to win the Pool Trophy and Harvard has claimed four of the past six Championships.

Individual National Championship History

Three of the six Harvard representatives will be competing at the National Championship for the first time in their career this weekend including Jacob Lin, Conner Stoltz and Segev Rome. For Joshi and Gilevskiy, it will be there first time competing in the Pool Trophy draw.
 
Costales has competed at the championships twice previously, advancing to the quarterfinals in the Poll Trophy draw and the quarterfinals of the Molloy Cup two years ago in 2022-23. Joshi competed in the Molloy Cup last year, advancing to the quarterfinals in his bracket. Gilevskiy made it all the way to the semifinals in the Molly Cup during his first-year season back in 2022-23.
 

Breaking Down the Stats

Junior captain, David Costales enters the tournament tied for the lead wins on the team, with a 7-1 record to his name in 2024-25. The Ecuador native has a hold on the top position on Harvard's ladder with his strong results this year. He is tied with Neel Joshi, who has risen all the way to third on the Harvard ladder where he owns a 7-1 record on the season. Denis Gilevskiy is just behind the duo of Joshi and Costales with six wins to his name.
 
Of the Molloy Cup participants, Jacob Lin leads with six victories on the year. Jacob Lin enters the weekend with five and Conner Stoltz with four.
