Mick Thompson scored the lone goal for the Crimson in a 4-1 defeat on Friday Night at Lynah Rink. Falling behind early, Thompson scored to make it 3-1 heading into the final period.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crimson fell behind early in Ithaca after Cornell added two goals just seven seconds apart a minute into the first period.
Harvard killed off a penalty to
Justin Solovey late in the first period before getting a man advantage of their own leading into the second.
Picking up another power-play in the second period, Harvard was unable to convert on either attempt.
The Big Red added its third goal of the game on the rush after beating Koskenvuo to give Cornell a 3-0 lead.
Mick Thompson answered two minutes later to make it 3-1. Assisted by
Joe Miller on an odd-man rush, Thompson beat Shane for his fifth of the season. The rookie has three goals in his last three games.
Cornell scored in the third to make it 4-1.
