CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing continued its fall-season trend of stacking good performances each week, with this past weekend boasting two second-place showings and an upper-half finish at a third event.
The Crimson stormed up the leaderboard on Sunday at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship – Final to come in second place and ended the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta as the event's runner-up. Harvard also competed at the Captain Hurst Bowl where it finished seventh of 14 teams.

Sailors were forced to wait all Saturday morning for wind before it finally appeared in time to begin racing at 1 p.m. ET on the Charles River. Harvard navigated the conditions to end the first day in fourth place with 88 points.
Zoey Ziskind and
Christina Chen got off to a slow A-division start, but finished with a pair of second-place efforts in their last three races.
Kate Danielson and
JJ Drummond, meanwhile, went 4-5-4-8-4-12 against the B-field helping keep the Crimson in the hunt, heading into Sunday. Final-day action featured winds ranging between 10-12 knots and Harvard pounced on the opportunity. Ziskind split time with
Peyton Hadfield (7-8) and
Sophia Montgomery (9-14) and the trio recorded a line of 5-1-1-2-4-6-6-10. Chen switched boats and served as Danielson's crew and the two ended up going 2-5-1-1-8-3-6-1. The second-day performance shot the Crimson up the leaderboard and into second place with a final score of 152. Stanford won the regatta with a 136, with Dartmouth finishing behind Harvard at 164.

For the first time in its history, Harvard appeared at the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta. Representing the Crimson were skipper

Olivia Hogan-Lopez,
Aidan Pesce,
Caroline Straw and
Theresa Straw. Harvard finished the six-race event with a final score of 14.0, which was second to Charleston's 8.0 in the J/105 group (12 teams) of the One Design division.

A picturesque day on Lake Mascoma on Saturday did not come with wind and a lack of it thwarted any idea of sailing. The athletes returned to the scene on Sunday and were greeted with winds in the 10-17 knot range before it settled in at 5-13 knots.
Harrison Strom and
Hanah Youn were the Crimson's A-division sailors, with
Jacob Posner and
Amelie Zucker tasked to take on the B-division. Strom and Youn finished in the top 10 in all seven races, with three of the top-6 variety (Race 1 – 6
th, Race 2 – 5
th, Race 5 – 5
th). Posner and Zucker, meanwhile, were even better, posting a 5-8-4-5-2-8-9 to finish with a 41. When the water settled, Harvard registered a final score of 92, coming in behind Brown (49), Stanford (62), Tufts (68), Dartmouth (75), Rhode Island (86) and St. Mary's (88).
