CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing announced today its schedule for the 2026 fall season. The Crimson will compete for nine straight weekends, starting Sept. 12-13.
 
During the aforementioned weekend of Sept. 12-13, Harvard will be in action at a pair of Cambridge-based regattas – the Harvard Invitational and Toni Deutsch Trophy at Charles River neighbor MIT. The Crimson is also slated to appear at the Harry Anderson Trophy in New Haven, Connecticut.
 
The next three weekends will feature five regattas apiece. Week 2 of the fall campaign, Sept. 18-19, will feature the NEISA Singlehanded Championships at Boston College, and the Sept. 19-only Hatch Brown Trophy (at MIT), Regis Trophy (at Harvard) and Mystic Lake Invitational (at Tufts). Week 3 (Sept. 26-27) will see the Crimson at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl (at Dartmouth), Hoyt Trophy (at Brown) and Hood Trophy (at Tufts), and another group at the one-day Eagle Invitational, hosted by Boston College, on Sept. 26. Then Oct. 3-4, will have Harvard at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship – Round 1 (at Bowdoin), Danmark Trophy (at US Coast Guard) and Moody Trophy (at Rhode Island). On Oct. 3, meanwhile, the Crimson will sail at the Smith Trophy (at MIT) and BU Invitational (at Boston Univ.).
 
The following two weekends will have a slower cadence as only five regattas are currently on the docket. The Open Atlantic Coast Championship – Round 1 (at St. Mary's), Stu Nelson Trophy (at Connecticut College) and Sister Esther Trophy (at Salve Regina) are all slated for Oct. 10-11. Then during the weekend of Oct. 17-18, Harvard is set to compete at the Women's ACC Championship – Final (at St. Mary's) and the Captain Hurst Trophy (at Dartmouth).
 
The Crimson will close out the month of October with three regattas the weekend of Oct. 24-25, and four during Halloween weekend. Harvard will sail at the two-day Open Atlantic Coast Championship – Final (at Brown) and the Yale Women's Regatta, Oct. 24-25. The Crimson will also send a crew to the Boston College-hosted Norm Reid Team Race on Oct. 24. Then during the weekend of Oct. 31-Nov. 1, Harvard will compete at The Victorian Urn Trophy (at Dartmouth), The Schell Trophy (at Vermont) and The Nickerson Trophy (at Tufts). The Terrier Invitational (at Boston Univ.), meanwhile, will take place on Oct. 31 only.
 
Harvard will close the fall at Larchmont Yacht Club in New York, where the ICSA Singlehanded Championships will be held. The national regatta will be hosted by Fordham.
 
The Crimson is coming off a 2025-26 that saw it win two team national championships (ICSA Match Race, Open Team Race) and watched Robby Meek take home the ICSA Open Singlehanded National Championship. Harvard also had athletes finish in third (Kate Danielson) and ninth place (Sophia Montgomery) at the ICSA Women's Singlehanded National Championship, and logged three additional top-7 team finishes at the other national championship events (4^th at women's team race, 3^rd at women's fleet race, 7^th at open fleet race). The excellent showings at the national regattas helped the Crimson win for the first time since 2005, the Leonard M. Fowle Trophy, which is awarded to the best all-around college sailing team. Individually, meanwhile, Harvard is expected to return seven of its All-Americans from last season.
