PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Harvard women's volleyball (3-11, 2-4 Ivy) lost its first match of the weekend, falling to Brown (9-6, 3-2 Ivy), 3-0.
How it Happened
Harvard remained close to open the first set trailing by only two before the Bears exploded on a 9-0 run to lead 23-12. Harvard secured three more points in the frame as it attempted to come back, but Brown eventually won the set, 25-15.
The second was tight throughout as the Crimson looked to even the match with their own set victory. After trailing 18-16 following a
Bennett Trubey kill, the Bears used a 3-0 run to create more distance late. Ultimately, Brown picked up another point with a 25-20 second set decision.
Riding the momentum of a 2-0 lead, Brown held control throughout the entirety of the final set, solidifying the match with a 25-12 victory.
