Ben Kelly each scored a goal as Harvard University men's soccer topped Stonehill College, 4-2, in its non-league finale on Wednesday night at W.B. Mason Stadium.
Remaining unbeaten in its last four matches with a 2-0-2 record, the Crimson (5-4-4) led 3-1 at halftime and netted the game's final goal to gain separation from the Skyhawks (4-9-1). The Crimson scored a season-high four goals for the second straight game after topping Brown, 4-2, on Oct. 18.
After Stonehill scored the match's opening goal in the second minute, Poliakov brought the Crimson level at 1-1 with a goal in the sixth minute. Tellado and Castel followed with goals in the 14
th and 20
th minutes to push Harvard ahead 3-1 at the break. Following a goal from the Skyhawks in the 59
th minute that brought the difference to 3-2, Kelly added an insurance tally for the Crimson in the 76
th minute to move the margin back to two goals at 4-2.
Harvard Highlights
- Junior Ben Kelly recorded a career-high three points behind a goal and an assist. He now has nine points on the year on two goals and a team-high five assists.
- First-year Adam Poliakov scored his third goal in his last two matches after posting a brace in the Crimson's 4-2 win over Brown on Oct. 18.
- Junior Dylan Tellado netted his third goal of the season, tying for the team lead. He now has 10 career goals.
- Sophomore Alexander Castel registered his first career goal and his first career game-winning goal.
- Junior Andreas Savva notched an assist. He paces the Crimson with 10 points on the year behind three goals and four assists.
- First-year Alejandro Palacio charted his first collegiate assist. He now has five points on the year on two goals and one assist.
- Senior Marcos Ojea Quintana contributed his first assist of the year.
- Senior goalkeeper Cullen MacNeil made a career-high seven saves. He posted his second game this year with five or more saves.
- Among the Crimson's field players, Castel, senior Rustin Khosravi, and sophomore Tim Langenbahn all played the full 90 minutes. Langenbahn (1,136 minutes) and Castel (1,052 minutes) rank first and second on the team in minutes played on the year.

How It Happened
- Stonehill netted the game's opening goal as Shane Fonseca struck in the second minute off an assist from Nate Monteiro.
- Harvard responded in the sixth minute as Poliakov scored his third goal in his last two matches to bring the Crimson level at 1-1. After Palacio played a long ball up the left side, Poliakov chipped a shot over the oncoming goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
- The Crimson took a 2-1 lead in the 14th minute as Tellado drove a shot into the net following a rebound off a shot from Kelly.
- Harvard moved ahead 3-1 in the 20th minute as Castel converted following a corner kick. After Savva played a corner in from the left side, Ojea Quintana sent the ball back across the face of the goal allowing Castel to knock a shot into the net.
- MacNeil made a pair of saves in the opening half, stopping consecutive Stonehill shots in the 31st and 33rd minutes.
- The Skyhawks pulled within 3-2 in the 59th minute as Owen Burke sent a free kick into the lower right corner of the goal.
- MacNeil extended to make a save off a header in the 71st minute keeping the visitors in front.
- Kelly provided the Crimson with an insurance tally in the 76th minute, tapping home a loose ball in front of the net.
