CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis posted six more wins throughout doubles and singles play to conclude action at the Harvard Fall Classic this afternoon.
Stephanie Yakoff and
Polina Krumkachev kicked off the Crimson's wins today by collecting their second consecutive victory with a 6-2 decision over Leyden Games and Alexandra Torre (Boston College).
Kate Kim and
Charlotte Owensby then completed an undefeated doubles weekend, dropping Olivia Benton and Seren Agar (Boston College), 6-3.
Owensby carried the momentum of her doubles win into her match against Tola Glowacka (Boston College), defeating the foe 6-3, 6-1 to drop the fewest games of any Crimson player.
Kavya Karra, who led the Crimson in wins last season, went 3-0 in singles action this weekend, capping off the perfect tournament by dominating Olivia Benton (Boston College), 6-3, 6-2.
Claire Shao joined Karra in a perfect weekend, closing her first collegiate weekend with a straight sets, 6-2, 7-5 win over Olivia Cutone (Boston College).
Yakoff added the final win for Harvard with a victory over Leyden Games (Boston College). After falling 6-4 in the first set, the junior took the second set 6-2 and battled to a 12-10 third set tiebreaker win.
