CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Athletics and Rudsak teamed up for the second straight year to distribute "One Crimson" sweatshirts to the incoming Harvard University first-year class. The initiative, which was originally launched by
Erin McDermott, The John D. Nichols '53 Family Director of Athletics, following the COVID-19 pandemic, is aimed at fostering unity and school spirit within the Harvard community.
Rudsak, a premium luxury outerwear brand, produced the "One Crimson" sweatshirts for Harvard's incoming class of 2029, a year after doing so for the now-sophomore class. The sweatshirts were distributed to all first year students during Harvard's Crimson Kickoff on Aug. 27. The gesture not only marked the Class of 2029's journey at Harvard, but also strengthened the bonds of the "One Crimson" spirit that the school is passionate about cultivating.
The collaboration between Harvard Athletics and Rudsak was brokered by
JMI Sports, Harvard Athletics' property sales representative operating locally as Harvard Sports Marketing. During the 2024 Ivy Madness tournament, Rudsak executives met McDermott, sparking discussions around the natural synergies between the two brands and Rudsak's interest in supporting the "One Crimson" initiative. Through JMI Sports' existing partnerships with both the Ivy League and Rudsak, the relationship expanded to include Harvard as an individual Ivy League member institution alongside the broader conference.
In addition to the "One Crimson" sweatshirt distribution, Rudsak launched the Harvard Collection in collaboration with the COOP on Sept. 27. The Harvard Collection is available at THE COOP, on rudsak.com, and at select Rudsak locations in Canada & the US.
