CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis will continue its four consecutive weekends at home as it hosts the ITA New England Regionals.
Competition at the regional tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. ET tomorrow at the Murr Center tennis courts and Beren Tennis Center. Action will continue through Tuesday, October 14.
What to Know
- Andra Braicu, Kavya Karra, Kate Kim, Polina Krumkachev, Isabella Ohr, Charlotte Owensby, Elsie Ragatz, Natasha Rajaram, Claire Shao, and Stephanie Yakoff will represent the Crimson in the singles and doubles draws at the ITA Regionals.
- The tournament will mark the second of four straight weekends in Cambridge, Mass. and the second consecutive year that Harvard hosts the regional tournament.
- The two singles finalists and the doubles champions in each of the 13 regions will earn a spot at the NCAA Individual Championships.
- Last season, Karra and Yakoff went a perfect 6-0 in the doubles draw at the regionals to qualify for the NCAAs.
- Both Karra and Shao enter the tournament undefeated in singles action after going 3-0 last weekend in the Harvard Fall Classic.
- Owensby, the lone senior on the team, has had a strong start to her final campaign. She enters the tournament with a 4-2 singles record and an unblemished, 3-0, doubles record.
