HANOVER, N.H. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving defeated Dartmouth and Cornell today to improve to 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the Ivy League. The Crimson earned a 163-137 victory over the Big Green (1-3; 1-3 Ivy) and dismissed the Big Red (0-2; 0-2 Ivy), 191-108.
How It Happened
- Harvard opened the morning by winning the first two swimming events. The Crimson won an exciting 200 medley relay (Anya Mostek, Aliana Marakovic, Kiley Wilhelm, Sydney Lu), out-touching Cornell by 0:00.06. First-year Carolina Daher then won the 1,000 free with a pool-record time of 10:00.27.
- Wilhlem tasted victory a second time, but this time as an individual, capturing the 100 back in 54.34. Mostek finished in second with a time of 54.56.
- Harvard went 1-2 in the 200 fly, with Lu emerging victorious and finishing with a time of 2:01.13. Hazel Mouhidin completed the race right behind Lu in 2:02.43.
- The Crimson then won three straight events, starting with Nina Janmyr's victory in 1-meter diving (310.85); Christina Shi finished in second (259.60). Lu was triumphant again, this time winning the 100 free in 51.05, with Wilhelm earning gold in the 200 back (1:57.60).
- Janmyr also came in second place on the 3-meter board, registering a time of 291.95.
- Lu continued her winning ways in the 100 fly, capturing that event with a time of 54.55, as did Wilhelm, who captured the 200 IM in a pool-record 2:00.11.
