CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Stephanie Yakoff of Harvard women's tennis will make her first appearance in the NCAA Individual Championship singles draw of her career beginning tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. ET in Orland, Fla.
The New Jersey native will face off against [9-16] Annabelle Xu of Virgina in the opening round of the tournament.
Yakoff punched her ticket to the national tournament after going a perfect 6-0 at the ITA New England Regionals. To ultimately win the tournament, the junior knocked off the No. 80 nationally ranked singles player, Serfima Shastova (Syracuse), in convicning straight set (6-3, 6-4) fashion.
Overall, this fall season, Yakoff has recorded a team-best nine victories and lost just once.
