Men’s Basketball Faces Boston College in Thanksgiving Eve Matinee

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Basketball closes out a five-game road swing when it plays at Boston College on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 4:00 p.m. (ACCNX) at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts in the Crimson's fourth matchup with a Bay State opponent to open the season.

What to Know

  • In the Crimson's matchup against Boston University at Mohegan Sun Arena, sophomore guard Robert Hinton scored a career-high 34 points on 13-of-17 field goals, 4-of-5 3-pointers, and 4-of-4 free throws with a team-high four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He posted career bests in field goals made (13) and 3-pointers made (four). Hinton eclipsed the 30-point plateau for the second time in his career.

He registered 14 points against both Army (Nov. 15) and Marist (Nov. 16), connecting on a game-tying 3-pointer with 35.8 seconds left against the Red Foxes. He netted 15 points vs. Northeastern (Nov. 11) and posted 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists against MIT (Nov. 7). Piggé – an Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection and CSC Academic All-District honoree last season – notched 13.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in 2024-25. He has steadily increased his production over his career, averaging 1.9 points per game in 2022-23, 8.1 points per game in 2023-24, and 13.1 points per game in 2024-25.
  • Sophomore guard Robert Hinton has averaged 14.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game to open the year, while shooting 87.5 percent on free throws. Hinton – the 2024-25 Ivy League Rookie of the Year – averaged 14.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 2024-25.
  • Junior forward Thomas Batties II has registered 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game to open the year, while shooting 55.8 percent from the field and 65.2 percent from 3-point distance. He ranks first in the Ivy League in 3-point percentage (65.2), fourth in field goal percentage (55.8), fifth in 3-pointers made (15), eighth in assists per game (3.3), and eighth in blocks per game (1.0). He tallied a season-high 17 points, career-high five made 3-pointers, and a career-high six assists at Penn State (Nov. 19). Batties II scored a game-high 17 points against both MIT (Nov. 7) and Army (Nov. 15). He posted 14 points and a career-high six assists vs. BU (Nov. 22) after notching 12 points vs. UNH (Nov. 9). In 2024-25, Batties II averaged 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game on the year after registering 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on the 2023-24 season.
  • Sophomore guard Tey Barbour has registered 12.0 points and a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game on the year, while shooting 45.0 percent from 3-point distance. Barbour ranks second in the Ivy League in 3-pointers made (18), fourth in minutes per game (31.0), fifth in 3-pointers per game (2.6), and 10th in rebounds per game (5.3). He has scored in double figures in six of seven games to open the year. Barbour scored 15 points vs. BU (Nov. 22). He posted 14 points, six rebounds, and a career-high four made 3-pointers vs. UNH (Nov. 9) before netting 12 points on four 3-pointers vs. Northeastern (Nov. 11). He compiled 12 points and seven rebounds at Penn State (Nov. 19). Barbour netted 12 points and made a career-high four 3-pointers vs. MIT (Nov. 7). Barbour notched 4.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game on the year in 2024-25.
  • Sophomore guard Ben Eisendrath has notched 6.2 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.0 steals per game on the year, while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. Eisendrath ranks first in the Ivy League in steals per game (2.0) and ninth in assists per game (3.2). He scored a career-high 15 points on 6-of-7 field goals at Penn State (Nov. 19). Eisendrath distributed a career-high nine assists vs. BU (Nov. 22).
  • Sophomore guard Austin Hunt has tallied 7.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game on the year, while shooting 57.1 percent from the field. He notched 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists vs. UNH (Nov. 9). Hunt averaged 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2024-25. He scored in double figures seven times a season ago.
  • The Crimson trails Boston College in the all-time series, 16-35. Harvard won six straight meetings from 2008-09 to 2013-14. After BC took the matchups in 2014-15 and 2015-16, Harvard captured the meeting in 2016-17. The Eagles claimed the decision in 2023-24 in the last matchup between the two teams, 73-64.
