Harrington Wins 157-Pound Title to Lead Wrestling at Journeymen Classic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Jimmy Harrington won the 157-pound weight class, and sophomore Logan Brzozowski finished as the runner-up at 125 pounds as Harvard University wrestling opened its 2025-26 season at the 2025 Journeymen Collegiate Classic on Sunday at Freedom High School.
 
Competing in its first event of the new year, the Crimson tallied 18 wins, including eight bonus-point victories behind six major decisions and two falls. Harrington took the 157-pound title behind a 3-0 record while Brzozowski went 2-1 to place second at 125 pounds.
 
First-year Sidney Tildsley finished 3-0 in the blue pool at 141 pounds, junior Jaden Pepe went 2-1 in the white pool at 141 pounds, sophomore Haden Bottiglieri posted a 2-1 mark in the white pool at 174 pounds, and first-year Ben Smith notched a 2-2 record in the blue pool at 174 pounds. Pepe and Smith each recorded a fall on the day.

Harvard Highlights

  • As a team, Harvard tallied 18 wins, including eight bonus-point victories with six major decisions and two falls.
  • Senior Jimmy Harrington took the 157-pound title behind a 3-0 record. He opened competition with a 13-1 major decision over Owen O'Connor of Army before topping Binghamton's Fin Nadeau, 12-7. In the finals, Harrington beat Penn State's Joe Sealey with a 10-9 decision.
  • Sophomore Logan Brzozowski placed second in the 125-pound division with a 2-1 record. Brzozowski started his day with a 15-3 major decision over Penn's Brady Pruett prior to besting Binghamton's Carson Wagner, 10-3. He dropped a 9-2 decision to Indiana's Jacob Moran in the finals.
  • First-year Sidney Tildsley recorded a 3-0 day in the blue pool at 141 pounds, including two major decisions. He earned victories over Navy's Tyler Adams (Dec. 6-5), Army's Conor Collins (MD 11-2), and Lehigh's Seamus Mack (MD 17-4).
  • Junior Jaden Pepe notched two wins – including a fall – in the white pool at 141 pounds, posting victories over Duke's Noah Kochman (Dec. 7-0) and Binghamton's Jack Kazalas (Fall 1:24).
  • Sophomore Haden Bottiglieri went 2-1 in the white pool at 174 pounds, collecting victories over Penn's Caden Bellis (Dec. 4-0) and Rutgers' Nathan Blanchette (Dec. 13-6).
  • First-year Ben Smith registered a pair of wins – both with bonus points – in the blue pool at 174 pounds behind a fall in 0:51 against Sacred Heart's Manny Psikarakis and a 10-0 major decision against Hofstra's Matt Waddell.
  • Senior 165-pounder Michael Bobola, junior 184-pounder Matthew Walsh, sophomore 197-pounder Hudson Skove, and first-year 197-pounder Dylan Greenstein each added one win on the day.
