Chloe Headland played a standout role, scoring four tries over the course of the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Harvard 43, Brown B 0
The Crimson opened the season with an emphatic win over Brown B. Junior
Victoria Stanley scored the first try of the day, and the scoring continued as sophomore
Ava Ference, senior
PK Vincze, and first-year
Dana Greer each added tries. In the second half, sophomore
Maya Hilger and junior captain Nafi Fitesemanu also got on the scoreboard, wrapping up a dominant 43-0 victory.
Game 2: Harvard 27, SHU 12
Harvard continued its strong play in Game 2, with tries from
Chloe Headland and
PK Vincze. Headland completed a hat trick, scoring three tries, including one to open the game. SHU kept it close with two tries, but the Crimson held on for a 27-12 win, improving to 2-0 on the day.
Game 3: Harvard 0, Army 24
In a challenging match against Army, the Crimson struggled to find a rhythm. Army capitalized on early defensive gaps, scoring two tries to take a 14-0 lead. Harvard had several opportunities to score but couldn't break through Army's strong defense, leading to a 24-0 loss.
Third-Place Match: Harvard 15, AIC 0
Harvard came out strong in the third-place game, with
Chloe Headland scoring a stunning full-length try to give the Crimson an early 5-0 lead—her fourth try of the day. Headland created another scoring opportunity by kicking the ball ahead, which was picked up by
Victoria Stanley, who assisted
Lennox London for a try. With the score at 10-0,
Reese Morgan capped off the game with a try in the second half, securing a 15-0 victory and a third-place finish for Harvard.
