CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's volleyball (8-10, 5-3 EIVA) posted its second consecutive 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-20) victory with a dominant performance against Daemen (9-10, 0-2 NEC) this afternoon.
How It Happened
The Crimson wasted no time heating up in the match, jumping out to a 9-3 lead in the first set. Harvard continued to ride its momentum, extending its lead to as many as eight. Aside from a 3-0 run by the Wildcats, the Crimson controlled the opening set, ultimately winning 25-16. Harvard was impressive on both sides of play, posting a .522 hitting percentage and recording eight total blocks to take a 1-0 lead.
The second set followed a similar pattern, as Harvard bolted ahead 10-5. The Crimson allowed just 13 points in the frame while holding the Wildcats to a negative hitting percentage. Conversely, Harvard hit .526, cruising to a 2-0 lead in the match.
Daemen looked to mount a comeback in the final set, grabbing a 10-6 lead and forcing a Harvard timeout. However, the Crimson responded out of the break, evening the score at 11-11. After another tie at 16-16, Harvard used a 3-0 run to take the lead—one it would not relinquish. The Crimson went on to claim the final set, 25-20, securing the sweep.

Miha Okorn tallied 10 kills while hitting .500 across the three sets. He also contributed two aces and six digs.

Quinn Bishop posted a career-high nine kills while also recording two aces and six total blocks.

Andrew Lobo delivered another strong performance, totaling seven kills and six digs.

Owen Woolbert registered five kills on six attacks and contributed to five total blocks.

As a team, the Crimson recorded 33 kills on a .406 hitting percentage and totaled nine blocks.
