GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Junior right-handed pitcher
Callan Fang made his season debut and limited the Gators to two runs in the start, but Harvard University baseball fell at No. 7 Florida, 12-0, in seven innings on Friday night at Condron Family Ballpark in the series opener.
Playing in the sixth game of a stretch of eight straight contests against Power Four conference opponents, the Crimson (0-7) remained within 2-0 through three innings before the host Gators (13-2) plated four runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth to gain separation.
Fang threw 2.2 innings in his first appearance of the year, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk with one strikeout. At the plate, seniors

Due to Sunday's weather forecast, the two teams will close the series with a doubleheader tomorrow – Saturday, Mar. 8 – beginning at noon (SEC Network+). Both games of the twin bill are slated for seven innings.

How It Happened
- Florida opened the game's scoring with a run in the bottom of the first before adding another run in the last of the third to move ahead 2-0.
- The Gators struck for four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 6-0 lead, using a three-run double to close the frame's scoring.
- The hosts tallied six runs in the last of the fifth to move the margin to 12-0.
