CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2025 Ivy League Women's Golf Individual Champion,
Vanessa Zhang, is headed to Columbus, Ohio where she will compete in the NCAA Regional Championships at the Ohio State University Golf Club. A first-year, Zhang will compete against five other individuals in the region, with the top scorer earning a qualification into the NCAA Championship in late May. Zhang is one of 36 individual qualifiers in the nation, with the top six moving on to compete at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. from Friday, May 16, through Wednesday, May 21.
The first-year heads into her region as the second highest ranked individual golfer behind Isabella McCauley of Minnesota. Zhang's ranking of 154 is the highest ranking she has achieved in her young career after starting at the No. 575 spot back in the Fall.
A Vancouver native, Zhang broke the Ivy League record by shooting 11-under-par at the 2025 Ivy League Championships to earn a spot in the regional and the conference individual crown. Her 16 birdies at the Royal Palm Golf Club led the field and was a season tournament high for any member of the Crimson.
Zhang became the fourth member of the Crimson to claim the Ivy League Individual Championship in the past six seasons and the seventh medalist overall in program history.
