Women's Lacrosse's Mullahy Named Unanimous All-Ivy First Team Selection, Five Others Earn Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Caroline Mullahy and Annabel Child were both named to the All-Ivy first team as six different Crimson received All-Ivy honors, the Ivy League announced today.

Caroline Mullahy was one of six unanimous first-team selections and was joined by Annabel Child as the only other Crimson to land on the first team. Despina Giannakopoulos, Charlotte Hodgson, and Stella Shea all received All-Ivy honorable mentions, while Anna Andrews was the team's Academic All-Ivy recipient.

Mullahy was a standout for the Crimson this season, rewriting the Harvard, Ivy League, and NCAA record books. Tallying her 100th career assist to open the season against UAlbany, Mullahy went on to break the program record with her 112th career assist against Bryant in late March before breaking the Ivy League record in her next game against Brown. She became just the seventh player in program history to record 200 career points after a six-point outing against Yale. The senior captain added two assists in the final game of the season to become just the 15th player in NCAA history to amass 150+ assists.

Mullahy finished the season with 24 goals, 51 assists, and 75 points, which was good for first in the Ivy League and had six games with six or more points this season.

Child has been a pillar on the Crimson defense throughout her time in Cambridge. She started all 15 games this season and added a career-high six goals and two assists in a strong performance on both sides of the field. Adding a team-high 35 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers, she was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after recording six ground balls and five caused turnovers against Dartmouth. An extremely consistent defender, Child recorded at least one ground ball in 13 of 15 games this season and had 3+ in seven games, which placed her second in the Ivy League at season's end.

Despina Giannakopoulos received her first-ever All-Ivy honor after leading the team with 32 caused turnovers in 15 games. Recording a season-high five ground balls in the upset road win over Navy at the start of the season, the junior had seven multi-ground-ball games. Giannakopoulos and Child combined for the top two spots in caused turnovers per game in the Ivy League this season.

Charlotte Hodgson was one of the top performers on both sides of the ball this season, becoming one of only two players in the conference with 100+ draw controls and the only player with 40+ points and 100+ draw controls. Shattering her previous career bests in her sophomore season, Hodgson led the team with 32 goals and finished third on the team in points. She recorded 10 draw controls in four games and 15 draw controls in two others.

Another major contributor on both sides of the ball for the Crimson, Stella Shea had a strong sophomore season in Cambridge. She added 14 goals, 26 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers, making her the only player on the team with 10+ goals and 25+ ground balls, and one of just three players with 10+ goals and 12+ caused turnovers. The sophomore also scored the overtime winner earlier in the season as the Crimson defeated No. 23 UConn.

Anna Andrews had a great season on and off the field after being named the Academic All-Ivy recipient and putting up 11 ground balls and five caused turnovers as a major piece of the Crimson defense this season.
