Women’s Soccer Alumna Josefine Hasbo ’25 Signs with NWSL’s Gotham FC

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's soccer alumna Josefine Hasbo '25 – a four-time All-Ivy selection with the Crimson and a World Cup and national team player with Denmark – has signed a professional contract with Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League, the club announced on Tuesday morning.
 
During her Harvard career, Hasbo collected All-Ivy honors in each of her four years, including First Team All-Ivy accolades twice. As a junior in 2023, she earned selection as a MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, gained United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America honors, and garnered Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors.
 
With the Crimson, she finished her career ranked ninth in program history in career points (67), ninth in career goals (25), and 13th in career assists (17) over 55 games played and 51 games started. In 2023, she totaled 26 points behind 10 goals and six assists in 16 games played and 14 games started. Over her four years, she helped Harvard post a 44-13-11 record and make three appearances in the NCAA tournament.
 
Hasbo has competed for the Denmark Senior National Team since 2020 and has totaled 33 caps and three goals for the national team. In her 33 matches played, she has helped Denmark post 20 wins and one draw. Hasbo recently competed for the national team in the latest international window over May and June.
 
Hasbo will join fellow Harvard alumna Midge Purce '16 on Gotham FC. The team next plays at Utah Royals FC on Friday, June 13 before a home match against Bay FC on Saturday, June 21.
