CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving's
Nina Janmyr,
Stephanie Iannaccone and Morgane Herculano '22 finished competition this past weekend at the World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025. The trio competed in diving, swimming and high diving, respectively.
Representing Sweden, Janmyr posted a 1-meter diving score of 220.20 in the preliminary round (23
rd place) and then followed it with a 3-meter prelim performance of 205.10 (42
nd). The rising senior also participated in the 3-meter mixed synchronized event with Elias Petersen and the duo came in 16
th place (221.34).
Iannaccone, part of Team Guatemala, came in 32
nd place in the heats of both the 200-meter medley and 200-meter breaststroke. In the medley, the rising junior recorded a time of 2:19.92, and then returned to the pool and finished the breast in 2:37.06.
An All-Ivy League performer and NCAA qualifier during her time at Harvard, Herculano competed in the high-diving event while representing Switzerland. First-day action featured four rounds of competition, with Herculano finishing in 14
th place with a score of 248.50. The 2020 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team selection moved up to 13
th after the fifth round (186.10), before finishing in 12
th place following the sixth and final round (254.10).
The Crimson is inching toward the 2025-26 campaign after it posted a 10-0 record (7-0 Ivy League) last season to capture its first Ivy dual-meet crown since 2015. Harvard also swept HYP for the first time since 2014, and sent multiple athletes to the NCAA Championship, extending its streak to 13 straight years of appearing at the national meet.
