CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis will begin its fall schedule this weekend as
Stephanie Yakoff,
Charlotte Owensby, and
Kavya Karra travel to Cary, N.C. to compete at the ITA All-American Championships.
Yakoff will kick things off for the Crimson, taking on Laura Putz (Florida State) in the prequalifying singles draw at 9:00 a.m. ET. Owensby will follow, facing Yura Nakagawa (Washington State) at 11:30 a.m. ET. Yakoff and Karra will then compete as the nine-seed in the prequalifying doubles draw, taking on Jaquelyn Ogunwale and Sebastianna Scilipoti (Miami) at 3:30 p.m. ET.
What to Know
- The ITA All-American Championships serves as a qualifying tournament for the NCAA Individual Championships later this fall. Ten singles players and four doubles teams will advance to Orlando, Fla.
- Karra and Yakoff became the first Crimson duo to advance to the NCAA Individual Tournament since 2006 last season.
- The pair qualified after going a perfect 6-0 at the ITA New England Regionals in Cambridge, Mass.
- Yakoff will be making her second appearance at the championships, having competed in the qualifying singles draw in 2024.
- Owensby will be making her third appearance at the ITA All-American Championships, having previously competed in 2022 and 2023.
