PRINCETON, N.J. – After starring in a pair of signature victories against No. 8 Princeton and No. 14 Monmouth on the road, senior defender
Bronte-May Brough and junior forward
Sage Piekarski earned Ivy League weekly awards. Brough is the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, while Piekarski shares Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week status with Brown's Lexi Pellegrino.
One of the nation's top defensive talents, Brough shined on both sides of the field for the Crimson against the Tigers and the Hawks. In the convincing 3-1 win against Princeton at Bedford Field, Brough powered the Crimson attack, scoring the first two goals of the afternoon off a pair of penalty corners. With the two goals, Brough scored in back-to-back games for the first time since 2023. Brough was key for the Crimson defensively in the 2-0 win against Monmouth, as the Uttoxeter, England native organized a shutout of the nation's top scoring offense.
A two-time All-Ivy League honoree, Piekarski was a focal point for the Crimson attack over the weekend. With the Crimson up 2-0 in the fourth quarter against Princeton, Piekarski extended Harvard's advantage with a fantastic goal, as she also found the back of the cage in the 2-0 win against Monmouth. Piekarski is tied for the team lead in goals (4) and points (9).
Harvard is 8-0 to start the 2025 season, marking the best start to a season in school history. The Crimson is only one of four undefeated teams in the nation, as Harvard hosts Penn on Saturday, Oct. 4 at noon before facing Boston University on the road on Monday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
