CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football quarterback
Jaden Craig has been named the Walter Camp FCS Player of the Week. The senior led the Crimson to a 41-7 home win over Brown on Saturday as it improved to 2-0 overall (1-0 Ivy League). The national honor comes on the heels of Craig earning Ivy Offensive Player-of-the-Week accolades on Monday.
Â
Hailing from Montclair, New Jersey, Craig was 24-for-31 passing for a season-high 317 yards and a career-high-matching four touchdowns against a Bears defense that pitched a shutout a week earlier. Craig also added one rush for six yards.
Â
Making his home debut, Craig was excellent in the first half against Brown, racking up 228 yards on 18-for-21 passing and three touchdowns. The performance guided the Crimson to an insurmountable 34-7 halftime lead.
Â
Thanks to Harvard's 2-0 start, the Crimson entered the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll on Monday, checking in at No. 25. It marked the fourth straight campaign that Harvard has appeared the Stats Perform poll.
